I tweaked RC_Showdown's fantastic model, making some key modifications: * I optimized nesting to conserve space * I reduced points on curved geometry to improve efficiency * I removed stray lines and points that weren't needed * I made minor tweaks to the lens hood and cutouts for a better fit The model was precision-cut from 9.5 mm beech plywood using my trusty Sorotec BasicLines CNC machine with a 2.4 mm spiral-toothed end mill. The entire process took about 10 minutes. After gluing everything together, I sealed the model with a coat of mineral oil for added protection. To smooth out any rough edges and remove CNC marks, I mounted the tires on my cordless screwdriver and sanded them by hand. It's an effective method that yields great results. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to dye the tires as planned, but they still look fantastic. This truck will make a wonderful Christmas gift for a friend of mine.
