My mom recently gave me my Grandfather's 1950's Melitta 102 porcelain 3 hole coffee filter. I thought it would be a good test for my Revopoint POP 3D scanner. I was able to make an autosurface solid model from the point cloud, but I wanted a cleaner model I could manipulate. I ended up doing a lofted surface for the outside, and used the scan surface for the inside. It was a good mental exercise. I did modify the design and put two viewing holes in the base so you can see how full your cup is. Of course you could just buy a plastic one on Amazon, but what fun is that!

Here are the parts I used:

Revopoint POP 3D Scanner ( https://amzn.to/33u2EZK )

Melitta #2 coffee filters ( https://amzn.to/3I8tt4w )

Overature white PETG filament ( https://amzn.to/3IMLghX )

Melitta plastic pour over filter ( https://amzn.to/3uVYuFm )

Melitta porcelain pot and filter ( https://amzn.to/3HXmRGk )

FTC Disclaimer: We may earn commissions for purchases made through the links below.
