The .30 cal. M1 steel ammunition can was designed to house belts of 250 .30-06 cartridges for the .30 Cal. M1917 Browning machine gun and has been adapted for various other calibers in cartons, clips, bandoleers or alternative packaging. The steel M1 ammo can replaced wooden .30 ammunition boxes early in WW2. It typically held a cloth or link belt of .30-06 cartridges, and the same box was also used for other calibers; it was stencil marked to indicate contents, usually in yellow. The M1 ammo can boasted strength from embossed concentric rectangles and lettering, featuring a polygon count of 1480 with 1460 vertices. Formats include MAX, FBX, and LWO, and textures consist of 4K PBR-ready maps for specular gloss workflow, along with diffuse, glossiness, normal, spec, height, and ambient occlusion (AO) maps for both new and aged appearances.
