Table lamp designed by JEAN-MICHEL FRANK & ADOLPHE CHANAUX. Ecart international. Frank and Chanaux's artistic union sparks off with two visionaries, who soon capture Parisian art world attention. Frank and Chanaux collaborate in pursuit of "Balance," developing distinctive expression. By incorporating minimalist sobriety into art forms, they successfully innovate and spark surprise: "Luxurious living can stem from leaving space uncluttered." Pure natural shapes paired with luxurious materials characterize Frank and Chanaux's unique creations: scraped oak, parchment, shagreen and sandblasted oak – to name just a few. This dynamic duo transforms living spaces into serene sanctuaries through sheer design mastery, captivating Charles de Noailles and his wife Marie-Laure de Noailles. Later they win the attention of prominent collectors including Nelson Rockefeller, Jean-Pierre Guerlain, Louis Aragon. Alas their partnership comes to an abrupt end during World War II. Paris ceases to be Frank's residence, as he travels westwards to New York; there, after a life consumed by witnessing atrocities of war from Europe, along with personal struggles as an exile in foreign lands – eventually culminates into tragic ending where Frank leaves this mortal realm in the year 1941. Following WWII's end, ADOLPHE CHANAUX goes on to hold the esteemed title of art director at perfumeries till the fateful day he passes away peacefully. Their collaborations emerge as some truly exquisite items highly desired by seasoned collectors around the globe. Modern furniture makers now widely find design cues from the timeless beauty presented in FRANK & ADOLPH's masterpieces, giving it its continued timeless value today.
