1926 LaSalle Ideal Door Bumper

A friend asked me if I could replicate this door bumper for his 1926 LaSalle. The copyright on this is 1914 so it may fit earlier models as well as the 1926. While I printed this in PETG it would be best printed in a polycarb or at least nylon as the backing will take some hammering. Most of the energy is pushed to the sides but seeing that his broke from the back it is clear that you will need a hard plastic or metal. As the car is being rebuilt it won't be used for many months to come so I won't know how well this holds up. Looking at the fit and how the door works that it might be strong enough. Even with the previously broken metal part there was little room for movement of the broken parts and it wasn't known to be broken (both doors) until the door was disassembled. I did this on a Saturday morning and printed it in PETG so as to see how it fit as well as if I could make improvements, such as thicking the back. The holes are a tad larger than the original, about 1mm. I plan on sending this away to be printed in a polycarb-CL? I was surprised at the relatively low cost to do this considering the cost of hunting one down and paying for it. I marked this a work in progress until i can test it out. I HOPE that I won't foolishly publish it until it is tested. But if you are reading this and it is still marked as in progress then you are forewarned.
