1911 Flared Magwell
thingiverse
Flared mag-well for 1911 style pistols, designed for single stack only. Tested with my Taurus .45 1911 however it probably would work for 9mm as well. Printed with PLA although you could probably print in any material you see fit. 100% infill for added rigidity Also when printing, I've found the best orientation is with the hooks facing up as they are very thin pieces, basically just flip the part over when you go to print it. If the holes don't line up, or the position of the mag-well causes the magazine to stick, try cutting slots in one side of the holes and repositioning the mag-well until the mag releases freely. You must remove the grips from the frame to position the hooks over the grip screws. IMPORTANT NOTE: While this does not prevent you from using flush fit magazines, fully seating the mag becomes difficult because of the added build up on the sides of the magazine well. I recommend only using magazines with extended base-plates, or printing a base-plate for flush fit mags that will allow you to fully seat them.
