This is a straightforward jig for fine-tuning the feed ramp on a 1911 pistol to 31.5°. To use this jig effectively, insert some 1/4" rod through the magwell so that it touches against the mainspring housing edge of the magwell, with the slimmest part of the jig aligned precisely on the feed ramp. Securely wrap the jig in sandpaper and proceed to sand carefully. Refer to the cutaway images for visual confirmation that you're orienting the jig correctly while sanding. It's crucial to maintain a sharp corner at the top of the ramp for optimal feeding performance. To reiterate, do not round off the top edge of the ramp under any circumstances - it must remain sharp and unforgiving. I should think this goes without saying, but be extremely cautious when removing metal from your gun, as it's ridiculously easy to take away too much material and almost impossible to put back what you've lost.
