sketchfab
Located on the North Eastern Breakwater in Portland, UK, this early 20th-century cast iron stove has a history dating back to possibly before the turn of the century. It was discovered in an abandoned barracks building on the breakwater. Permission to access the site was granted by Portland Port Ltd, who maintain the breakwaters. A Reality Capture model was created from the data collected. The Portland Breakwater's stove and other features were documented in 2017 by staff and volunteers from the Maritime Archaeology Trust as part of the Forgotten Wrecks of the First World War project, which received funding from the Heritage Lottery.
