The typical 8mm diameter inductive probe has such a limited detection range, making it challenging to obtain Prusa's P.I.N.D.A. probe which is quite expensive. In contrast, larger 18mm diameter probes offer significantly greater detection ranges, allowing you to position the probe at a considerable distance above the print nozzle. To proceed, carefully remove the four M3-18mm screws from the extruder fan and secure this new component using four M3-25mm screws. Remember to enable Z_SAFE_HOMING within configuration.h in your Marlin firmware setup.
