The typical 8mm diameter inductive probe has such a small detection range and it's difficult and expensive to acquire Prusa's P.I.N.D.A. probe. The larger 18mm diameter probes have a much larger detection range so you can keep the probe a lot higher than the print nozzle. Remove the four M3-18mm screws from the extruder fan and mount this part using four M3-25mm screws. Don't forget to enable Z_SAFE_HOMING in configuration.h in the Marlin firmware.
