18Lilliput (Board Game) Insert Remix
prusaprinters

I saw MonkeyBear's insert design on Boardgamegeek and wanted to print a copy of this. He had a large plate at the bottom of the insert to make sure it didn't slide around and I thought there was a "filament-friendly" way to do this using arms instead of a plate. I also worried I couldn't print this on my unleveled bed as large as it was. So instead of just splitting into two parts, I changed the design to use curved edges along rails (to make it easier to get the other parts out) and added slots along the base of the main component so I could print as separate pieces. Finally, as I often store my games vertically, I wanted to "lock" in the company indicators so they wouldn't slide out. I pushed the vertical columns down a couple mm and chopped a slab off the top of that part of the insert. This allowed me to print a "cap" that fits snugly in those channels, ensuring the little bits don't come out when turned upside down.

Print instructions

Category: Games Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: .2

Infill: 5%

Filament: Prusa PLA Silver
Notes:

This was a good model - well made and easy to print. It took about 9h on the main parts and only about an hour for the cap and two "legs."
