18650 processing and storage boxes
thingiverse
These are lasercut models, no STLs possible. These are stackable boxes that can hold 18650 Lithium-ion battery cells. Main use is to safely store recycled cells (from e-bike, laptop, etc) while testing. As part of a self-discharge test these have to be left for multiple weeks at storage (~30%) or full charge. The stackable 100 cell boxes are perfect for this. The long sorting boxes specifically are designed to hold cells just "released" from the donor battery pack. The are held horizontal in between the MDF plates so they can't short. It also ensures the spot-welded nickel tabs are sufficiently trimmed back or it would not fit. Designed for 4 mm thick sheet material and 300 x 600 mm sheets. Tested with MDF, plywood should be OK. Avoid plastics and certainly not anything conductive.
