18650 Powerwall Holder Adapter
thingiverse
My Powerwall project. 7x 18650 batteries are arranged in series, each totaling 75 in parallel. The entire setup is assembled within a battery holder, with connections soldered to the back. Initially, there are 105 free spaces available. However, when paired with an adapter, this figure is multiplied fivefold, resulting in 525 batteries. Each individual battery has a capacity of approximately 2.5A, with the total current reaching up to 1300A at some point. Security measures are in place to protect each battery individually, utilizing 5A fuse wire to prevent any potential issues. The entire assembly is safeguarded by a 20A protection system, although only around 12A is actually being drawn from it. This means that the contact points for each battery holder are subjected to a permanent load of approximately 0.8A, calculated as 12A divided by 15. Nickel-Plate components with dimensions 8x0.15mm are used throughout the project.
