DIY Portable 18650 Battery Bank. Cells Arranged in 1s4p or 1s8p Configuration. Recycled 18650 cells from old laptop batteries can be used; however, they can also be purchased new. The battery bank module is the 5V 2A 18650 Power Bank Charging Module. This module is available for purchase on Aliexpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32976709704.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.37684c4dUeks6t). To assemble the battery bank, cells are soldered in parallel to leave an output of 4.1V. The module is then inserted into the body of the case. The button must be secured in place before the insert (with the module glued to it) can be soldered to the battery and inserted into the body. It's recommended to balance each cell before use, especially when using recycled batteries. To do this, an OPUS BT-C3100 smart battery charger is suggested (available for purchase at lanplus.com). The total cost of the power bank, including filament, was $3. The small battery has a capacity of 9350mAh, while the large battery has a capacity of 24500mAh.
