Here is a powerbank utilizing two replaceable 18650 batteries that can be swapped out as needed. The bank can charge at a rate of 5V/2A and deliver the same amount to whatever it's connected to. This DIY alternative is great for anyone who wants to avoid using powerbanks with unknown cells, and it's easy to replace the cells when they wear out. The bank also has the option to be extended, allowing you to use as many cells as you want. However, if you decide to extend it, you'll need to come up with a different solution for battery contacts. Here are the parts used in this project: * Battery contacts salvaged from eBay - Plastic DIY Battery Holder Case Storage Box For 18650 Rechargeable Battery 3.7V * Charger - 201376646576 * DC-DC Converter - 351364761791 * Modular Battery Spacers - 321969183140 I still need to finish the end pieces, but I'll be sure to update this project when they're complete. UPDATE: I've added a model of the endpieces and made some minor updates to the existing design. Have fun building your own powerbank!
