Update - January 15, 2017 I've added a 5x stacked version and separators for the 3,4 and 5x stack packs, making assembly significantly easier with their assistance. Additionally, I've included alternate versions of the inline with various port configurations to suit different needs. Update - January 3, 2017 To simplify assembly, I've increased the size of the wire port, shortened the sides, and added extra clearance for the wires. Furthermore, I've enlarged the slot size for larger wire ties, ensuring a more secure connection. Over the past few years, I've successfully built several 18650 Li-ion packs that have performed exceptionally well in multi-rotors and long-range fixed-wing planes. After experimenting with various end cap designs, I've developed these latest versions, which offer improved functionality and versatility. Each configuration features two distinct caps: A & B. The 'A' caps provide 1.5mm of clearance above the cell edge to accommodate a welded or soldered tab. In contrast, the 'B' cap offers 3.5mm of clearance along with an 8mm x 3mm end port that can accommodate up to 12-gauge silicone wires and balance wires. Both A & B caps incorporate small slots for secure wire ties to hold them in place around the cells. For stacked 3 and 4-cell configurations, a 2mm hole can be drilled through the center to utilize all-thread, or they can be simply glued with hot glue. Finally, shrink tube can be applied to fully protect the pack once assembly is complete.
