I designed this 18650 holder in OpenScad, keeping it relatively lightweight for easy cell replacement and stacking using holes and threaded rod connections. To route the solid copper wire, drill guidance holes and solder fuse wires to the cells from there. The half-open option can be configured with a true/false setting, but it only makes sense when arranging the 2 by x configuration.
