18650 Cell Storage Case with Magnetic Lid

This is a case in 2 parts, both contain magnets to keep the case lid closed. It should contain protected as well as unprotected 18650s. The two parts are: - A main body which holds the 4 cells through a combination of pockets & clips - A lid The magnets are located within the small, circular hole pockets in both units. The print must be set to pause at the final layer of the magnet holes, before the hole is covered, so that the magnets can be super glued in position. This is obviously a different layer in each part, and, the layer number will vary depending on layer heights & other print settings. I used the preview tool in Cura to locate the correct layer. Here are the circular magnets I used (not an affiliate link or anything). 6mm dia x 3mm height. Remember to update the pocket sizes if you use different magnets: https://amzn.eu/d/1KFSry8 Some points: The magnets must be glued into the pockets! Otherwise they will attract to the nozzle and pull out on the next pass Be sure to keep a note on which orientation you are inserting the magnets in. I tend to use a permanent marker to mark one side of each disc for simplicity A double stack of magnets are used in the lid & a single stack in the main body Print with no supports - print the case body the correct way up & the case lid “upside down” (with the flat lid surface on the base) This is not a recommendation or advice for anyone to do anything with 18650 cells- just a design I'm sharing which I've used for 18650 cell storage
