18650 Case with Charge/Discharge PCBA

A housing unit that cradles a lipo 18650 battery, along with an IC that manages the charging/discharging of it. The IC is responsible for recharging the battery via the microUSB port on it. It also tracks your 18650's charge status and prevents over-discharge. Materials needed: - Exact materials and vendors I have used are listed below. However, it's possible to order all these from a single source; I haven't checked. - lipo 18650 batteries (https://www.banggood.com/2PCS-ICR18650-26F-2600mAh-3_6v-Rechargeable-Li-ion-Battery-p-915708.html) - Charge/discharge IC (https://www.banggood.com/TP4056-Micro-USB-5V-1A-Lithium-Battery-Charging-Module-Board-TE585-Lipo-Charger-p-1225993.html?rmmds=myorder&cur_warehouse=CN) - Battery contacts (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072379C1R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00 ) - Wire (something like this should do if you have none https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q3G1VG2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00) Material (optional): Output Connector You can choose any connector you like for this, or solder output straight to PCB/perfboard. - If you want an in-line connector (wire to wire), I typically use one of these (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CTKD7P4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00) - If you are looking for a PCB board connector, I often use these (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0752C431F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00) - This has 4 holes in the bottom for magnet integration (https://www.ebay.com/itm/80pcs-Hobbies-Crafts-Arts-Small-rare-earth-Magnet-disc-1-4-dia-x-1-32/272924496112). You can integrate these magnets into another 3D printed piece, if you arrange and orient them properly. It does a surprisingly good job of holding the box on a surface. The wiring can still be a bit messy. I'm open to ideas for improvement. Assembly steps: 1. Solder wire to Battery contacts. 2. Feed wire down through top of case; rest contacts into end slots, with wire attachment pointing down. 3. Flip over assembly; put force on bottom until contacts snap in 4. Feed wires through bottom section and through IC holder 5. Solder battery contact wires to PCBA (B+ and B-) 6. Solder output wires to PCBA (Out+ and Out-) 7. Push PCBA into holder, feeding wires through front or back of holder as desired.
