18650 case

18650 case Inspired by a design that I stumbled upon but can no longer locate, I'm eager to give credit where it's due. I downloaded the original file and printed it out, but unfortunately, it was a tight fit. Trying to close it only led to more trouble – I couldn't get it undone again. So, I took matters into my own hands and redesigned it from scratch. This case is an essential part of my daily routine. Given that my mod devours batteries at an alarming rate, carrying spares has become a necessity. To avoid any mix-ups, I organize them in a specific way: one up and the other down when they're fully charged, and both facing upwards when they're empty. If you plan on printing your own 18650 case, I highly recommend using PETG or ABS filament. After testing PLA, I found that the detents wore out within weeks. In contrast, my latest print from PETG has withstood over a month without any issues. To achieve optimal results, I suggest printing without supports or brims. A layer height of 0.25 mm and 3 walls with 100% infill will provide a strong bond and exceptional durability. The entire process takes approximately two hours to complete.
