18650 battery holder (2S)
thingiverse
I know, yet ANOTHER battery holder. There are a lot of great battery holders out there, but all are too wide for my use that has a 40mm width limit. I need something designed to securely hold two 4000mah 18650 batteries in series, and my specific requirement won't work with most standard holders. My 5800mah batteries fit the holder, but they flex the outer walls over 40mm so I can't use them. They just don't meet the width limit. - You'll need AA battery holder contacts to assemble this project. It's a good idea to CA them in place for extra security. Next, solder one set of contacts together and slide it into the full slot end. Make sure to mate the parts flat without any solder lumps. Check out the picture on how to clamp the contacts with a spring clamp. - The "+" end of inserts is located on the cut-out ends of the holder (see pictures). When printing, make sure the layers are well bonded. The outside wall of this battery holder is very thin, so print it hot enough. I recommend using PETG, 4 perimeter walls, and 20% fill. PLA might not have enough flex to meet your requirements.
