Adapting a 18650 Li-ion battery to replace two C cells requires careful consideration due to its slightly higher voltage output. Users should exercise caution when making this substitution. To complete the modification, you will need regular paper clips and needle nose pliers. One member suggests using heavy gauge copper wire instead of a paper clip for improved amperage handling. While I have successfully used my device with low-drain game cameras, users requiring higher current may benefit from upgrading to copper conductors. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Folger i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill Percentage: 15% Notes: Printing at 1.5mm layer thickness with brim and support is recommended, though brim may not be necessary in all cases. Post-Printing Tips: When using a paper clip, bend the majority of its length straight while leaving the rounded end intact. This will make it easier to pass through the print's holes. The clip should be cut to size based on the 39mm opening where the support was removed. Insert the longer end into one hole and the shorter end into the adjacent hole. Using needle nose pliers, bend the clipped end over the center groove as shown in the accompanying image. This modification is suitable for an 18650 battery.
