This aluminum tube casing is designed for an 18xxx-type Li-ion battery, measuring 7/8 inches in length due to its 1/16-inch walls. It serves a bicycle light project with 10V, 10W LEDs mounted externally, while the battery and current regulator are housed internally. A prebuilt regulator is preferred; otherwise, a custom design will suffice. The part stands at 20mm tall, scalable to 60mm in height. Height clearance for Replicator 2 printing is yet to be determined, and further parts may be added to this work-in-progress project.
