For printing, glass is an ideal surface because it's remarkably flat and stays that way. I use Elmer's purple glue stick on the glass to ensure any filament sticks well to the print bed. After a print is done, you can remove the glass and swap it with another piece while your ABS cools. You'll need to cut your glass when using these clips. I've used 3mm thick mirrored glass from Home Depot that's worked perfectly. The box of glass was $10 for six 12x12 inch pieces, which comes out to $1.75 per sheet. I've designed the clips to fit on the print bed's corners, extending it to hold a cut piece of 180x240mm plate glass. The thin edges allow small binder clips to hold the glass in place without interfering with the print head. Warning: Glass can break - just be careful! I've included two clip sizes: one for CTC printers and another for Wanhao print beds. I had to switch from a CTC heated print bed to a Wanhao, so I created clips that fit both. The 4mm clips are for CTC and the 5mm clips are for Wanhao. You can use your original nuts and bolts with these clips - no need to adjust your slicing software settings. Just be sure to re-level your print bed when adding glass to avoid any issues. Print Settings: * Printer: CTC Dual * Resolution: .25 * Infill: 25% * Notes: Print out ABS if using a heated bed plate; PLA will melt if you use it with the heated plate.
