1802 Membership Card Altair 8800 Case

The Original Membership Card is an authentic reproduction of the vintage Popular Electronics Elf computer, reimagined to fit snugly within a compact Altoids(R) tin container. Every component of this device is meticulously crafted using genuine 1980s technology and materials. I didn't have the privilege of designing the Elf computer itself, but I did create this sleek 3D printed case that not only houses the computer but also accommodates batteries and note cards. My goal was to craft a case that pays homage to the classic Altair 8800 computer while incorporating modern twists. Interestingly, the 1802 microprocessor was not an integral part of the original Altair design. This Membership Card is, in fact, a clever fusion of retro computers from that bygone era, when toggle switches were the norm.
