1802 Membership Card Altair 8800 Case

The Membership Card is a meticulously crafted reproduction of the original Popular Electronics Elf computer, carefully repackaged to fit snugly inside a compact Altoids(R) tin. It's an entirely authentic build using 1980s parts and technology, ensuring a faithful recreation of the era. I didn't design this computer itself, but rather created this unique 3D printed case to hold the computer, batteries, and note cards. I wanted to create a case that not only housed these components but also paid homage to the classic Altair 8800 computer. However, it's worth noting that the 1802 microprocessor was actually used in the Elf computer, not the Altair. This project represents a creative fusion of retro computers from the toggle switch era, blending their iconic styles and designs.
