18 Tooth GT2 Pulley
thingiverse
This printable pulley is designed for GT2 belts with a 2mm pitch. You can find an excellent parametric pulley design by drofart here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16627/. If you don't want to customize the pulleys in OpenSCAD, this might be useful. I recommend the 18 tooth pulley over the 17 tooth one as it can be harder for the belt to engage perfectly with smaller pulleys. However, feel free to share your experience if you have had success with the latter. For customization, opt for fewer teeth (more resolution) and a smaller hub with two nut traps. When printing, I use 100% fill and recommend SFACT with stretch on to get an accurate tooth profile. To achieve consistent perimeter edges, aim for a lower height over width radio. Note that your printer needs to be well-calibrated to print truly circular pulleys, as oval ones can cause backlash issues. This upgrade is possible even with Prusa Mendel and T5 belts.
