18" Doll Bed

This is a custom-made doll bed designed specifically for an 18-inch size doll, expertly crafted to fit perfectly on a Creality CR-10 3D printer. To ensure precise assembly and durability, I carefully divided the design into separate pieces that can be easily attached using strategically placed tabs. For optimal structural integrity, I set the height of each tab at 0.2mm, with a 100% infill to guarantee a solid bond between the components. Meanwhile, the remaining sections of the bed feature a 30% infill with five shells for added support and stability. Assembling this doll bed proved to be an efficient process, requiring only a single 2kg spool of high-quality MakeGeeks PLA filament – leaving just enough excess material for future projects. However, I do anticipate potential concerns regarding slow sagging in the mid-rail area over time. Only further testing will confirm whether this issue persists. The tabs that hold the pieces together fit snugly and may not come loose once securely seated, which can be both a benefit and a challenge when disassembling the bed for maintenance or replacement parts. Fortunately, I discovered that cyanoacrylate glue works well in bonding these components, making it easier to reassemble the doll bed as needed. The final touch was adding a plush foam mattress, providing the perfect sleeping surface for my 18-inch size doll. Currently, I am working on creating adorable bedding to complete this charming doll bed and ensure that my miniature friend has a comfortable place to rest and play.
