I've been itching to create this for ages. Now that I finally have the chance, I'm eager to print and test, but unfortunately, my heat bed gave up on me last week, so no printing until I repair it. I'd love to hear your feedback and see how you go. In a pinch, I decided to try an ABS print on a cold bed - talk about desperate measures! The warping of the base does prevent a snug fit, but with a heated bed or PET-G/PLA prints, everything turns out great. I've given it a fresh new look by remixing it with a better external face and base. I'm actually working on another piece inspired by this one, which will be ready soon.
