Pioneer teams are sent out to habitable planets to conduct in person research of the natural resources, and to set up working settlements for colonists to arrive. Many planets are simply mined for profit and others are colonised - space is now big business! For their latest mission, the Everest Pioneer Team has found themselves on Planet 579a in the Milky Way Galaxy, named Aether. The planet Aether has rich biodiversity, an acceptable atmosphere for humans and slightly higher gravity than Earth. It's their role to research and analyse the planet, set up a successful colony base and have everything ready for the second wave of colonists to arrive in a year's time. They send regular data back to Earth about the planet so plans can be made as to it's purpose - settlement, resource mining, or a protected planet for research (e.g. pharmacuticals).  The Everest Pioneer Team are part of the Space Pioneers Collection of 3D miniatures, which was first available on our Patreon channel in February 2021.
