1796 Pattern Cavalry Saber (1:18 scale)

It's not safe to venture forth alone! Ensure your miniatures have access to cold steel for all their adventures with this pattern 1796 cavalry saber design. I've discovered that, depending on the shape of a figure's hand, the sword may be either slightly loose or tight. For figures with loose hands, try wedging their fingers into the hand guard for a secure fit. In cases where the hand is too tight, consider removing the hand guard entirely - this modification gives it a Polish saber look, but your miniatures won't mind. Since the swords print quickly (about one minute each), I've also included an STL file with eight of them plated and ready for your needs as an antique weapons enthusiast. How It Was Designed This design was created almost entirely in Blender. I imported a reference image of the saber, then created two planes - one for the handle and one for the blade, each shaped like their respective parts of the sword. A few extrusions, some editing, and a boolean union completed the project. To ensure accuracy, I brought it into OpenSCAD and adjusted the scaling factor until it fit perfectly within a box of the correct size (based on actual measurements and 1/18 scale).
