.177 suppressor for air rifles
thingiverse
This is a basic suppressor designed specifically for .177 air rifles. With precision in mind, you can also fit it onto a .22 air rifle if you're careful with the tolerances. However, do not attempt to attach this suppressor to a genuine .22lr gun under any circumstances. If you do decide to try it on a .22lr gun, make sure to document everything for potential YouTube fame. This suppressor is designed to clamp onto a 15.25mm thick barrel with a cutout for stock iron sights. It should fit perfectly on the Diana 25, Norinco B1 and B2, and Perfecta 32 air rifles, but be cautious of your optic's axis. The internal channel measures 6mm wide, ensuring you won't have to worry about baffle strikes. The design calls for printing this suppressor standing upright, with no need for internal support structures due to the extreme baffle angles. My first print failed due to adhesive failure on the base plate (ABS print), which I attributed to the plate being too cold and warping visible in pictures. To compensate, I shortened it and printed a sleeve that fits the first 80%. Despite this monstrosity working as intended, my next version will be significantly flatter, longer, and printed on its sides. I highly recommend cutting off the top end prior to printing and creating your own custom suppressor design that fits your barrel. Aligning this one with the bore axis to avoid baffle strikes was a real challenge. The bottom 90% of my print worked great, but your mileage may vary.
