I made this rest for my 2017 Civic. I couldn't plug in my charge cable without finding a spot to lay my phone, which would slide right out of the cubby hole. This raises the cable up off the surface and keeps it from shifting around. You can add non-slip material if you need extra grip. Trusses help minimize materials used.
