I remixed PerryT's outstanding chessboard design to accommodate four sections instead of sixteen on my RaiseN2 printer's 300x300mm bed. I left PerryT's "puzzle" connectors intact, ensuring they fit snugly without needing hammering. The result was a seamless assembly process. The tiles and chess pieces were printed with PolyMaker's Polysmooth PVB filament, providing an excellent foundation for the smooth, glossy surface achieved through aerosol polishing in the Polysher. To optimize the design, I reduced tile thickness and increased frame base thickness, also smoothing out the tile tops instead of maintaining their honeycombed texture. Print Settings: Printer: Raise N2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 290µ Infill: Light Notes: Printed with PolyPlus PLA. A 290µ resolution was chosen for speed, but a lower setting like 200 or less would yield a more refined finish.
