Here's the design that measures up to 16 by 16 studs. As an advantage, it perfectly lines up with conventional building block sizes - you know, the kind from Legos and Mega-Bloks. These are the step-by-step instructions: 1. I made this design using Openscad. 2. There were two main features: for loops, which are super efficient when used right.
