I upgraded my Shapeoko3 to a massive 2.2kw water cooled spindle, only to discover that the double-shielded 4-conductor wire I bought (Belden 29500) was a tad too large. Many people struggled to find a decent cable to fit the aviator adapter that came with the spindle. I ended up having to drill out the opening on the aviator plug, just enough for the four wires to pass through - excluding the outer covering, which was also a tight squeeze. The resulting setup left the cable feeling rather flimsy and prone to bending stresses over time. To rectify this issue, I came up with a 90-degree conduit that snugly fits over the sturdy metal portion of the plug, providing support for the four wires while coupling the stronger inner wire with the outer covering. This solution also alleviates some of the wire's stress caused by z-travel bending and twisting. Print two copies of this design, then assemble it using six M4 screws and nuts.
