I designed a simple bracket for drilling into three 16650 batteries. To install this mod, you don't need to cut anything or otherwise interfere with the radio itself. All you'll need are the clips and plug from the original basket, and everything should be stuck in place. The longer (-) cable needs to run through a stud (with a 2 mm hole) without the plug. Keep in mind that this is the first version (which I probably will improve) and it may be necessary to slightly sand one side with fine paper. There are no mounting points for the board because 16650 have short "mushrooms" from the plus, so you'll need to attach them with hot glue or a drop of glue.
