160mm stackable parts trays
thingiverse
I couldn't find the parts trays I wanted, so I designed my own stackable set. It's still a work in progress, and if you'd like me to add extras or make modifications, let me know. The initial size is 160mm square with 2mm thick sides and 5mm radius corners. Update: I recently printed an 8-compartment shallow tray, but one of the lines was off by a few mm, resulting in 4 compartments that are the intended size and 2 that are slightly narrower or wider. I've corrected this issue, but left the original file available for those who might want to use it. The 16-compartment tray had the same problem and has been fixed as well. I've also added some new compartment configurations - a 6-compartment tray and a 12-compartment tray, both with mixed sizes. I printed one of the trays myself and will upload photos soon. Unfortunately, I used yellow ABS plastic and am having trouble getting decent pictures. I experienced some minor curling issues during printing, but it didn't cause any problems for me. My current printbed is made of aluminum, which is slightly bowed, but my printer handled the job fine. Print Settings: Rafts: Doesn't matter Supports: Doesn't matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: I printed at a relatively high infill percentage (30%) with a layer height of 0.2mm and an initial height of 0.3mm. The print was quite long, taking about 12 hours to complete, but the results are well worth it. With proper calibration, most printers should be able to handle thicker layers or increased speed.
