Design Process: A friend introduced me to silhouette "print & play" paper minis, which inspired me to create these modern military miniatures. Using Inkscape, I transformed the original silhouettes into SVG paths, then imported them into FreeCAD, where I extruded and added connector tabs at the bottom of each miniature. A base was designed to fit these tabs perfectly. However, upon initial testing, the fit was too tight, making it impossible for the miniatures to connect properly. To resolve this issue, I recommend printing the bases at 5% larger scale than the miniatures, allowing for a slight tolerance that enables them to snap into place securely.
