This spool holder is specifically designed to fit 18mm spools that have a mounting hole in the center. It measures 15mm in diameter, making it easy to manage smaller spools with ease. The design is tailored for use on Ender 3 printers, allowing you to replace the original spool holder directly without any modifications. It's ideal for 200g spools but can also handle heavier loads of up to 1kg, especially when using 100% infill settings. In my test model, I used 50% infill and achieved remarkably strong results. The main mounting thread is M30x1.5, designed in Fusion360 software. A small end stop at the bottom secures the spool in place by gently nudging it down. Additionally, there's another identical threaded section on the opposite side of the main mounting point, allowing for flexible installation options and extra security with a second nut. When placing spools on this holder, make sure they don't exceed 90mm in height when viewed from the flat side. Enjoy your printing experience!
