By combining these versatile clips with my Arduino board mounts, it becomes simple to securely fasten fans above the controller board, effectively shielding motor drivers from excessive heat. This design solution is incredibly convenient as no hardware modifications are needed whatsoever. The precise guidelines for creating this clever clip system require careful consideration: printed parts should be produced using high-quality ABS material with a first layer thickness of 0.25mm and remaining layers at 0.2mm, all while omitting any additional support material or brim features during the printing process. An optimal infill percentage is achieved through achieving an even 30% rate throughout. Achieving these specified settings will result in perfectly printed clip parts that may be effortlessly mounted side by side. As a direct result, any fans with a maximum thickness of 15mm can seamlessly and securely be fitted into any extruded slot, ensuring flexible versatility across all conceivable placement configurations. Conversely, one may easily make adjustments to the existing design for expanded purposes - specifically in expanding or enlarging clip 'fins' so as to permit thicker fans being firmly mounted and reinforcing base for mounting these thicker fan models higher from designated rails on an 8020 extrusion system.
