Middle sections are only about 1inch thick, yet they inter-connect due to flanges, making it work seamlessly with any thickness door or wall. Attach the frame securely with screws. All parts are a sturdy 2mm thick, so 100% infill is crucial for maximum strength and durability. I designed these dog doors as an affordable alternative to store-bought options that can cost $40 or more. Before installing, I tested the design by printing the front and rear piece without the door and attaching them to a sheet of cardboard. I then placed it in a doorway where my cat and dog frequently pass through, allowing them to get used to the new opening. Later, I repurposed the pieces as insulation for another door.
