150mm Z axis calibration cube

150mm Z axis calibration cube

This is a quick calibration cube that I made to test the estep settings for the Z axis of my printers. Although many people generally will use a 10mm or 20mm cube, such a small calibration sample means that you will have a significantly lower potential for getting an accurate reading. Just like with any kind of statistical sampling, larger samples will yield more accurate results. I quickly designed this to be a 150mm Z axis calibration sample in a minimum amount of time without wasting a bunch of filament. At 60mm/sec and .28 or .3 layers, this should print in less than 2 hours. I would recommand a larger brim (8 to 12 mm) to make sure that it is held securely in place while printing.
