These two brackets are designed to hold a 150mm digital caliper upright while verifying or calibrating the tower movement on a delta printer built of 2020 profiles, ensuring precise calibration and resulting in clear improvement in print quality. The TopCaliperMount is designed to be connected to a Haydn ball stud delivered with Haydn diagonal rods and used with 'The End' Effector carriages: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2804952. How to use: 1. Disconnect the magnetic diagonal rods from the carriage ball studs, freeing up space for calibration. 2. Insert the T-shaped 'stub' of TopCaliperMount into the 2020 profile slot and turn the part 90 degrees clockwise for secure placement. 3. Click the ball stud of the carriage (with all diagonal rods removed) into the ball socket of TopCaliperMount, creating a stable connection. 4. Home the printer and jog Z down by e.g. 20mm to prepare for calibration. 5. Insert one jaw of the digital caliper into the TopCaliperMount, following the provided image for details and extend the caliper to its maximum length for accurate measurement. 6. Mount the BottomCaliperMount with 2 M4x8 screws to the 2020 profile such that the depth rod of the extended caliper seats in the small hole. Before tightening the mount, push the depth rod in with it by a mm or so to ensure proper alignment. 7. With the caliper in place, jog Z down by one mm and zero the caliper for precise measurement. 8. Jog Z down by 100 or 150 mm and after movement finishes, check the reading of the caliper. Repeat the measurement as many times as you wish and take the average of all measurements to achieve accurate results. The more averages you take, the better - take three at minimum for reliable data. 9. Calculate the needed correction to the steps/mm (or mm/step) value by dividing the commanded movement by the measured movement, i.e. if you commanded 100.00mm and measured 100.05mm, then calculate 100/100.05 equals 0.9995 approximately. As the movement was too much in this case (too many steps taken), you'd need to multiply your current steps/mm value by the calculated value e.g. 200steps/mm*0.9995 equals approximately 199.9 steps/mm. Note that if you need mm/step, you must divide your current mm/step value with the calculated value. Repeat the process for all towers and update the steps/mm or mm/step values of your firmware. Please be careful not to damage your printer, caliper, or anything else if you decide to use these. I will not take any liability for any damage. These mounts worked great for me, YMMV.
