Crusher Robot: A Fun and Feisty Combat Bot for the Home This is a 150g combat robot that's just begging to be taken out for a spin. I've attached the .STEP file, so feel free to get creative and modify it to your heart's content. While this bot may not pack enough punch to crush its enemies, it makes up for it with its sheer fun factor. It's perfect for cruising around the house and showing off your DIY skills. Building the Crusher Robot is a breeze - no extra tools required! However, assembling the gears and programming the TX can be a bit tricky, so be sure to prep those details carefully. The wedges can be printed or cut out of sturdy material, and I've included some tips on how to make them fit snugly. One thing to keep in mind is that the Lego hub has tolerances that are perfect for printing with my printer. If you need a tighter fit, I've got you covered with an alternative version. For attaching the top armor and wedges to the frame, use #3 Plastite screws. To clear out the holes in the head gear and base uprights, grab a 3mm drill bit and get to work! Here's what you'll need for this project: Hardware: * 2 qty: 1/4" Track Spikes (https://amzn.to/2S2IRYx) * 1 qty - M3 x 25mm (https://amzn.to/2KysG1r) * 2qty - M3x 12mm (https://amzn.to/3cAamAq) * 4" Zip Ties (https://amzn.to/2Z6jRA3) * 3-24 Plastite Screws (https://amzn.to/2AInL9z) Wheels: * Lego 24x14 Tire (https://amzn.to/2yLfDUd) Electronics: * Flipper Servo: KST X12-508 Servo (https://alofthobbies.com/kst-x12-508.html) * Other servos that will work include the KST DS215MG V3, PTK 9495MG-D, and Corona DS929HV. * These are 2S servos, so be sure to power them directly from your battery for maximum voltage. You may also need to trim the end of the servo arm to get it to fit in the gear. * I've included a servo arm for the cheap HXT-900 servo - not as quick, but perfect for messing around the house. ESC: * Endbots DESC or Budget DESC (https://www.endbots.com/collections/products/products/endbots-desc?variant=5580585992221) Drive Motors: * N20 Micro Gearmotor 30:1 or 1000rpm (https://amzn.to/2JsTwpA) * Alternatively, you can order the DESC alongside the gearmotor (https://www.endbots.com/collections/motors/products/n20-gearmotor?variant=35202867907) RX: * Your choice - the Endbots DESC comes with a Spektrum receiver. TX: * Your choice - I use a Spektrum DX6 (https://amzn.to/2qk8RQA). Battery: * Nano-tech 300mah 2S Lipo Pack (https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-nano-tech-300mah-2s-45-90c-lipo-pack.html) I use the 4 wide 2.54mm Headers as my link - simple, yet effective!
