More details to come...\r\n\r\nThis is my initial attempt at designing a 150g combat robot. I'm really eager to build it this summer, but I'm concerned that I won't have access to a 3D printer. \r\nMy design was quite rushed, as I just learned about the competition a few days ago... and I had to study for my finals, which took up most of my time.\r\n\r\nThe robot is relatively simple, featuring a wedge bot with a pivot point, plenty of space for electronics and upgrades. \r\n\r\nthe motors are held securely in place by zip-ties.\r\n\r\nThe top plate is fastened down using #4 x 5/8 metal screws.\r\n\r\nThe wedge uses M4 bolts threading into the frame from within.\r\n\r\nDrive motor: N20 motor paired with a 30:1 ratio gearbox\r\n\r\nPower switch: Fingertech Mini Power Switch, providing a convenient on/off feature\r\n\r\nBattery: Galaxy 2S 180 mAh lithium-ion battery pack\r\n\r\nESC: Endbots DESC controller with Lemon-RX firmware\r\n\r\nFor wheels, I repurposed a Lego wheel with a custom rim - the rim can also be used with O-rings or rubber bands as a alternative.\r\nWheels from .75in diameter (with a modified top plate) can accommodate up to 1.5 inch in size. \r\nFingertech wheels will work seamlessly!\r\n\r\nLooking back at my design, I realize that I'm missing holes for the switch and power light, both of which can be added later.\r\n\r\nI also designed a fixed wedge configuration.\r\nFeel free to contact me for any additional information!
