These spacers are specifically designed for use with #15 O-rings on the exterior of an igloo or similar cooler when converting it to a mash tun. They come in different sizes and are crafted around 1/2-inch plumbing hardware. They compress the #15 O-ring onto the outside of the cooler, effectively filling the gap between the ball valve and the cooler itself. This eliminates the need for stacking washers, which is especially beneficial when working with 1/2-inch plumbing pieces that don't fit snugly together.
