15$ and effective bowden setup
thingiverse
I wasn't content with attaching a screw to the Teflon tubes due to unreliability and improper methodology. Therefore, I modified my setup using McMaster-Carter push-to-fit couplings at just $2. Consequently, my 3D printing process has been highly reliable since then. I ordered both 1/8" and 1/4" fittings, but prefer the filament fit of 1/8" currently. The required parts are Erik de Bruijn-inspired 5033K31 Extreme-temp tubing made with Teflon PTFE (1/8" inner diameter, 1/4" outer diameter, and 1/16" wall, semi-clear white) priced at $3.73 per foot for a 3-foot length, and 51055K971 & 51055K972 White Acetal instant tube fittings (male straight adapters for 1/4" tube OD with 1/8" NPTF and 1/4" NPTF respectively), priced at $1.47 and $1.69 each.
