During the Deepwater Reclamation Akwafell discovered a subspecies of human that had found a massive subterrainean air pocket that had immense pressures at those depths. The corresponding effects on the humans that lived there mutated them to be incredibly strong but required that they reside in massive suits that replicated those pressures for their hyper-evolved respiratory systems.
