12/18/2018: V2. I broke my original wrench after several uses and identified the weak area near the hinge. I've uploaded version 2 of the STL file with reinforcement added to that area. This is a remix motor wrench shrunk down for additional reinforcement. It fits 14xx brushless motors around the 19mm diameter range, perfect for micro/mini quadcopters. I made this specifically for my HGLRC XJB-145 quad using 1407 3600kv motors. Measure your motors before printing! If you're tired of tearing up fingers during prop changes, this wrench is your new best friend. Few notes: * It has an imperfect surface in some small areas due to filling in reinforcement from the original file. * I used ABS with my Anycubic i3 Mega at 240C and Ultrabase bed at 110C. After cleaning it up, I heated my kitchen oven to 107C and placed the wrench pieces inside for 15 minutes. Then I turned off the oven and let it cool on its own. This increases its strength. * I used Brim Adhesion to hold it down while printing and 100% infill because this is a tool you'll be manhandling. It uses about 4 meters of filament. * A #6 32 x 1/2 inch machine bolt and nut worked perfectly for the hinges, although I had to use a 1/8 inch drill bit to enlarge the hinge holes due to their small size from the file remix. Use Loc-tite on the bolt tip and tighten it just enough to be smooth and not loose. * For crazy grip, cut strips of flat rubber band and superglue them to the inside wrench surface. You'll be tempted to over-torque your props, so don't. * I have no idea how long this will last if you have gorilla hands. When in doubt, print a back-up! Happy Flying!
